Privacy policy
Collective Commerce HK Limited, trading as OLANE, is the controller for personal information used in our store operations. Shopify and other providers may separately act as controllers for processing described in their own notices.
Company number: 77499434.
Privacy policy
Last updated: 9 October 2026. This notice explains how Olane Brand uses personal information when you browse olane-brand.com, place an order or contact us. It does not replace any separate consent required by law. Simply visiting the website does not constitute consent to optional tracking or marketing.
1. Contact and responsibility
Olane Brand is the store contact for personal information used to manage your purchases and enquiries. Correspondence address: 185 Tai Kok Tsui Road, Tai Kok Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong SAR. Privacy requests: support@olane-brand.com. Phone: +1 305-780-6456. Support hours: Monday–Saturday, 09:00–18:00 HKT.
2. Information we collect
This includes your name, email, telephone number, billing and delivery addresses, order details, returns and messages you send us. Payment information is handled through Shopify and your chosen payment provider. The website may also collect IP address, browser and device information, time zone, cookies and browsing activity. Information you provide is used to fulfil the relevant purchase or respond to your request; without the necessary details, we may be unable to do so.
3. Purposes and legal grounds
Where EU or UK data protection law applies, processing needed to accept and fulfil orders, arrange delivery, handle purchase-related support and returns is based on performance of the contract or steps you request before a purchase. Keeping records required by accounting, tax or other applicable laws is based on legal obligations. Optional email marketing relies on your opt-in, and non-essential tracking relies on consent where required. Necessary website security and fraud prevention may rely on our legitimate interest in protecting customers and the store, subject to your rights. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests.
4. Service providers and Shopify
Information is shared as needed with providers for store hosting, payment processing, fulfilment and shipping, support, email marketing, reviews, tracking and analytics. Our store integrates Shopify, Gorgias for customer support, Klaviyo for marketing, Loox for reviews and ParcelPanel for shipment tracking, as well as tracking and analytics tools. The information involved depends on the service used and applicable consent choices. Shopify also describes processing for its own purposes, including certain enhanced services, in its consumer privacy notice. Please see Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy · Shopify Data Processing Addendum. Disclosures through advertising technologies may be treated as a sale or sharing under some privacy laws; you may exercise applicable opt-out rights by contacting us or using available privacy controls.
5. International processing
Olane operates from Hong Kong and uses international service providers. Your information may therefore be processed outside your country, including in Hong Kong and countries where Shopify and other providers operate. Shopify explains its international handling and transfer safeguards in the documents linked above. Contact support@olane-brand.com for information about the destinations and safeguards relevant to your information, or to request a copy of applicable safeguards. Those documents describe Shopify’s arrangements; they do not describe every other provider’s arrangements.
6. Retention and deletion
Retention depends on the purpose of the record. Order and payment records may be needed for fulfilment, returns, refunds, disputes and applicable accounting or tax duties. Support correspondence may be needed to resolve the enquiry and related claims. Marketing consent and preference records are relevant while marketing continues; a limited suppression record may be needed to honour an unsubscribe request. Required legal records may need to be kept after a deletion request. Contact us for the retention period or criteria applicable to a particular record. A deletion request is assessed under the law that applies to you and does not automatically override legal retention obligations.
7. Cookies and marketing choices
Essential technologies support the cart, checkout and website security. Other technologies can remember preferences, measure use or support advertising. Where consent is required for non-essential technologies, it must be obtained separately; continued browsing alone is not consent. Use the consent or privacy preference controls presented on the website to change your choices. If you cannot find a control, contact support@olane-brand.com for help. Browser settings can also block or remove cookies, although some features may stop working. Unsubscribe from marketing emails using their unsubscribe link or by contacting us. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing.
8. Your rights and requests
Depending on the law that applies, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your information, object to certain processing, withdraw consent and opt out of sale or sharing. These rights have legal conditions and exceptions. Email support@olane-brand.com; include enough information to identify your request, and we may need proportionate identity verification. We respond within the applicable legal deadline. Under EU/UK GDPR, this is normally one month; where a permitted extension is needed, we will explain it within that first month. You may complain to the data protection authority in your country, including an EEA supervisory authority, the UK Information Commissioner, the Swiss FDPIC or Hong Kong’s Privacy Commissioner, as applicable.
9. Security and other websites
We take reasonable precautions to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Other websites and services have their own privacy notices; review them when using those services.
10. Children
Our website is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can assess and address it under applicable law.
11. Updates
We may update this notice when our services, practices or legal requirements change. The current version and its update date will appear here. Where required, material changes will be communicated separately.
